Chain controls lifted over Donner Summit

Chain controls have been lifted over Donner Summit from Truckee to Nyack on Monday, April 16, according to Caltrans.

Chains were required on all vehicles, except for vehicles with 4-wheel drive with snow tires on all four wheels, from the Truckee to Nyack.

A fast moving storm could bring up to a foot of snow above 7,000 feet by Monday.

Reno is expected to see less than a half an inch of snow.
