Carson City Sheriff's Office searches for burglary suspects

    The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for assistance in identifying possible suspects in a vehicle burglary in Carson City.

    According to Carson City Sheriff’s Office, on Friday February 1 a resident parked her vehicle at a Prison Hill trailhead near 5th Street and Carson River Road. The resident went hiking on Prison Hill and when she returned to her vehicle, she discovered her vehicle had been broken in to.

    Officials say the victim's credit cards were taken from the vehicle and was used at several businesses on Topsy Lane in Douglas County.

    Video surveillance from the businesses shows four possible Asian male suspects using the victim’s credit cards.


    The suspects were driving what appeared to be a green Audi Q7 SUV, unknown license plates.

    The Carson City Sheriff’s Office recommends when parking at trail heads and park and ride locations not to leave valuables such as wallets inside vehicles.
