Brush fire reported north of Mammoth Lakes burns 200 acres

A lightning-sparked fire just north of Mammoth Lakes has burned about 200 acres Thursday, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

The Clark Fire is burning south of Bald Mountain, east of U.S. 395 and north of Owens River Road.

Crews are working on the east flank of the fire to protect private developments nearby, the Forest Service reported.

Clark Canyon was evacuated as about 100 personnel respond to the fire.

There was no containment reported Thursday evening.
