RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — If you see a line of bright signs along the fence at the Washoe County Sheriff's Office — they're for a good cause.
Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam and other administrative staff kicked of Mental Health Awareness Month Friday by hanging motivational signs around the property off Parr Boulevard in north Reno.
Sheriff Balaam says the signs promote the necessity of mental health awareness within the law enforcement community. He hopes the bright-colored signs will provide much-needed motivation to employees arriving and leaving their high-stress jobs.
The signs will be up through the month of May.
