The Sparks Fire Department (SFD) pulled a body the Truckee River Tuesday afternoon, said Sparks Police Department Officer Nick Chambers.
According to Officer Chambers, just before 3:00 p.m. on May 23, they received a call from a person on the bike trail that a body was floating in the water.
SFD went into the water to retrieve the man's body, but the cause is still unknown.
Officer Chambers said the body is not of a person the police were looking for, and there is currently no information on the identity of the person or how they got in the river.
