Attorney General Adam Laxalt officially files for governor
Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt officially filed for Governor of Nevada on Tuesday, March 13.
Joined by his wife and three children, Laxalt pledged to continue promoting his vision for Nevada’s future:
“I continue to be inspired by, and grateful for, the thousands of Nevadans who are joining me in this grassroots campaign,” said Laxalt. “Today marks another important step on our journey to write Nevada’s next chapter — the greatest chapter yet in our state’s rich history.”
Laxalt, a Republican, was sworn into office on January 5, 2015, making him Nevada’s 33rd Attorney General.
“I’ve spent a lot of time during this campaign talking with citizens all across Nevada, and listening to their concerns about the challenges our state faces,” Laxalt said. “What they’re telling me is that they understand that we must set the right priorities for our state — policies that will lead to better schools, a robust economy, and greater safety in our local communities. That’s what I’ve been emphasizing in this campaign, and I’m extremely grateful for the passionate support our effort continues to attract.”
