Man sentenced to 20 years in prison for multiple burglaries in Reno
The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office has announced that a man convicted on multiple burglary charges has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Reese Samuel Frye, 23, from Reno, was sentenced on two counts of burglary stemming from two separate cases.
According to the Washoe County District Attorney's Office, Frye had three prior felony convictions; and along with the string of burglaries involved from recent cases, this led to the filing notice of intent to seek habitual criminal status for sentencing purposes.
Surveillance footage and other evidence identified Frye as the suspect and he was located by Sparks Police patrol officers on March 20, 2018. Frye was arrested and formal criminal charges were filed against him.
Frye has been ordered to pay restitution for damages to the victim businesses.
