1 person transported after car crashes into pole in east Reno

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — One person has been taken to a hospital after a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole in east Reno Thursday, according to police.

Lt. Scott Shaw said officers received a report of the crash just before 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the intersection of Oddie and Silverada boulevards.

A single vehicle was involved, and police believe a medical issue might have resulted in the crash, Shaw said. The victim's status was not immediately known.

Eastbound Oddie and a portion of Silverada are closed for the response and repairs for the pole.
