1 person dead after fire engulfs truck with trailer near Washoe Lake south of Reno

WASHOE CITY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — One person has been found dead after crews responded to a truck-trailer fire near Washoe Lake that was engulfed in flames Monday night, according to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.

Bob Harmon said crews arrived on scene to quickly put out the fire just off Eastlake Boulevard, outside a Washoe State Park office.

The victim was found inside once crews knocked down the blaze.

The cause of the fire and the victim's identity were not immediately known. The fire was reported at about 9:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3.
