Arie Luyendyk Jr. named as new 'Bachelor'
"Bachelor" nation now has its new leading man.
ABC announced Arie Lyendyk Jr., the runner-up from Emily Maynard's season in 2012, as the next bachelor.
"This just fit perfect. The timing of this really fit for me," he said during an interview Thursday with Michael Strahan.
"It just kind of hit me right now that I'm here."
Lyendyk Jr., a retired race car driver, lives in Arizona where he works in real estate.
Independent, strong, yet still gentle are qualities he named in a woman he's looking for.
