Three candidate forums to be held at the Downtown Reno Library in May

Candidates running for office will be available to take questions from the public during three forums to be held in May at the downtown Reno Library.

Presented by the Reno News & Review, the Holland Project, ThisisReno.com, the Washoe County Library System and KWNK Community Radio, the Speak Youth to Power Forums will center around issues affecting young voters.

While these events are youth-centered, all members of the public are encouraged to attend.

These are not debates, but forums for candidates to address issues.

Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask questions. These non-partisan forums are open to all candidates.

All three event forums begin at 6 p.m. at the Downtown Reno Library, 301 S. Center Street.

Here’s an opportunity for young people—and everyone else—to ask the questions that really matter to local candidates!

  • May 3: Washoe County Commission
  • May 10: Reno City Council
  • May 31: Mayor of Reno
