McQueen Student named Class Act Award Winner

A sophmore at McQueen High School might be an underclassman, but she is proving she's a leader in more ways than one!

This month Kate Stallings is News Four's Class Act Award Winner!

Today evening anchor Shelby Sheehan surprised Stallings during her leadership class.

Stallings was recently responsible for spearheading the tuna drive at her school through her leadership class.

The students made announcements and used social media to get the whole school on board.

When it was all said and done, the group collected 1,005 cans of tuna to be donated to The Food Bank of Northern Nevada.

Stallings and the leadership team have accomplished quite a bit in the first few months of school, organizing school spirit events, holding a coat drive and of course having a big impact on the food drive!

Congratulations to Kate Stallings, News Four's Class Act Award Winner.
