Local woman on CNN's Top 10 Heroes list

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — One Nevada organization called Noah's Animal House, has been selected as one of CNN's Top 10 Heroes of 2019.

Founder Staci Alonso, began the organization to help victims of domestic violence and their pets.

CNN will be holding a special ceremony Sunday, December 8th to honor Alonso and other non-profits nationwide. The special ceremony will be broadcast on CNN starting at 5 p.m. pacific time.

CNN will be giving $100,000 to one non-profit. The public can vote for Noah's Animal House until December 3rd.
