Mini Maker Faire
What: A family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. People of all ages and backgrounds will come together to show what they are making and share what they have learned along the way. The Faire is a celebration of what makes Northern Nevada unique.
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 8

Reno Philharmonic performs Pops on the River
What: The 23rd annual "Pops on the River" will feature well-known Broadway vocalists performing a Broadway inspired concert with the Reno Phil Orchestra, including legendary rock and pop songs like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Stairway to Heaven,” “Hotel California,” “Like a Prayer” and “Man in the Mirror.”
When: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 8

Barrio Block Party
What: A blowout summer block party celebrating the intersections of Mexican and American culture. The event will include free admission to the entire Nevada Museum of Art, as well as live performances, food, craft vendors, hands-on art projects and more!

Where: Nevada Museum of Art, 160 West Liberty Street
Gordon Avenue Artists
What: Diverse local artists present expressionistic and impressionistic landscape oil and watercolor paintings, nature photography, mosaic hand-painted upcycled furniture, and mixed media assemblage yard art in a beautiful backyard midtown setting.
When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 8

Reno Fashion Show 2017
What: Northern Nevada's largest runway show will feature 21 local and international designers in men's, women's and children's fashions. All ages are welcome. Tickets are $25 presale, $30 at the door.
When: 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 8
Where: Grand Sierra Resort, 2500 E. Second Street
Reno Chalk Art Festival
What: A group of artists and street painters take to the Atlantis west parking lot for the inaugural Chalk It Up at Atlantis Festival and compete for prizes. Watch as parking spaces are transformed into colorful works of art before your eyes.
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9

Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley at Brasserie Saint James
What: Rob Ickes, who has been playing bluegrass with his much-decorated band Blue Highway for over twenty years, and Trey Hensley, bursting at the seams with freshness and musical excitement, team up for a unique collaborative effort.
When: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9
