Lemmon Valley residents ask for help after flooding
LEMMON VALLEY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Intense precipitation over the past few months has caused Swan Lake in Lemmon Valley to rise above its crest, leaving homes and property underwater.
Residents say county officials have offered minimal help, and the damage is too extensive for them to be able to fix themselves.
They're asking officials not only for assistance to repair their homes, but also for action to be taken to mitigate this issue and prevent it from happening again.
Washoe County officials say the area is definitely one of their top priorities.
