5:45pm Friday Update:
We've still got a chance of storms popping up around the region into the 8-9 o'clock hour. For your weekend, Reno is looking to stay mostly dry with temperatures hitting the upper 70's and low 80's. The better chance for thunderstorm activity will stay mostly south of Highway 50. And with those storms the chance for small hail is expected.
Memorial Day is looking just gorgeous for Reno, 85 and nothing but sunshine! Lake Tahoe will hit the mid 70's and be sunny as well.
Heading into next week we will make a run for the 90's, now the GFS model is taking us into the upper 90's and maybe even 100 degrees but the European model is bringing cooling with some thunder showers. Right now forecasts are favoring the GFS just not going to go as hot yet. So expect low 90's by next weekend!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend! From the News 4 Weather Center- Meteorologist Cassie Wilson
