Homicide investigation underway after family of three found dead in Silver Springs

Sheriff's Office: 3 people found dead at 2 Silver Springs homes

A homicide investigation is underway after deputies with the Lyon County Sheriff's Office located three dead bodies at two separate houses in Silver Springs.

Spokesman Michael Carlson said deputies responded just after 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, to a medical call in the 2800 block of Tonopah Avenue.

Deputies arrived, and found 46-year-old Rebecca Driver dead at the scene, Carlson said in the statement.

Authorities investigated and learned she had local family. Deputies responded to their home in the 3000 block of E. Third Street to make a next-of-kin notification.

When they arrived at the home, deputies found two more people dead, according to Carlson.

Carlson says that Frank, 67, and Coral Evans, 68, the parents of Rebecca Driver, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are searching for multiple persons of interest who have likely fled the area. However, they do believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public at this time.

The cause of death is unknown.
