Ryan joined the News 4-Fox 11 team as a Multimedia Journalist in January of 2018.
Ever since he was young, Ryan remembers watching local news with his parents, hoping that one day he would be on the other side of the TV screen. Now, he's moved to the Biggest Little City to fulfill that dream, and could not be more excited to start his professional career in this beautiful area.
Ryan recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
While attending ASU, Ryan anchored and reported for the Cronkite School’s award-winning newscast, Cronkite News. In 2016, he traveled with several reporters to Rio de Janeiro to report on the Olympic Games. There, he produced stories about Arizona athletes competing in the Olympics, as well as famous landmarks around the city.
He started working in local news as an intern for KCRA in Sacramento helping produce evening news and sports. After that, he interned for NBC Sports Bay Area, and shot high school football highlights for 12-News in Phoenix.
Ryan is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. When he is not covering the latest stories in Reno-Tahoe, you can find him checking out beautiful hiking spots and cheering on his favorite teams -- the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers, and -- of course -- his Arizona State Sun Devils.
