Oliver, Fenner named preseason all conference by website

A pair of Nevada men's basketball players have received preseason recognition.

College Sports Madness has named University of Nevada sophomore forward Cameron Oliver and senior guard D.J. Fenner to the website’s 2016-17 Preseason Mountain West All-Conference team.

Oliver was named to the All Mountain West Tournament team last season as a true freshman. Oliver started 33 of 38 games in his first season of college basketball, averaging 13.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. He also ranked 13th in the nation in blocks with 2.61 per contest and ranked 3rd in total blocks with 99.

Fenner enters his senior campaign as one of the leaders on and off the court for the Nevada men. In 38 games played last season, Fenner averaged 13.7 points per game and led all Nevada players with 1,283 minutes logged on the floor.

Nevada is coming off one of the most successful seasons in recent history after winning 24 games on the way to the College Basketball Invitational tournament Championship.
