Nevada's Fajardo the presumed starter after Toronto Argonauts' QB goes down with injury
Former Pack star Cody Fajardo will see a lot more reps soon under center for the Toronto Argonauts.
He saw playing time on Thursday after Argonauts starter Ricky Ray was pulled out of the game after taking a hard hit to his shoulder. Friday it was reported that Ray separated a joint in his shoulder due to that hit and will be out 4-6 weeks.
Fajardo is the second string QB and thus the presumed starter. He's seen playing time in all seven of Toronto's games this year, but he's mostly rushed with the ball. In fact, his first passes thrown this season came on Thursday. He completed six of eleven passes for 75 yards after Ray left the game. Fajardo has scored two touchdowns for the Argonauts this season.
