Nevada falls in shootout with Toledo 37-24

Nevada falls to Toledo 37-24

Nevada couldn't quite get out of the hole they had dug for themselves.

The Pack were unable to score their first touchdown of the game until their final drive of the first half and that combined with back-to-back turnovers in the fourth quarter would ultimately result in a 37-24 defeat to Toledo. Nevada also failed to score at all in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Ty Gangi had a similar line to the Northwestern loss. Going 19-of-37 (compared to 16-of-37), two touchdowns (same), and one interception (same). Gangi did amass 277 passing yards against Toledo, nearly 80 more than he did against Northwestern.

Freshman McLane Mannix continues to shine, hauling in a 75-yard touchdown grab for his second touchdown in as many games. Mannix had six receptions for 139 yards overall. Senior Wyatt Demps also has six catches, resulting in 95 yards receiving. His 31-yard catch at the one yard line set up Nevada's second touchdown of the game in the third.

The key stat of the game was time of possession. Toledo had the ball for 40:14 of the game compared to Nevada's 19:46.
