Three-year recruitment of Jordan Brown pays off for Coach Muss
Reno, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
After a three-year courtship, Head Coach Eric Musselman landed his most prized recruit since he joined the University of Nevada. On Monday morning, the Wolf Pack received a signed letter of intent from Jordan Brown, officially making him part of the program.
"It might be 7 a.m. on Christmas morning and before I said 'good morning' to family members, I was texting Jordan Brown."
That's how badly Coach Muss pursued the 5-star recruit from Roseville, California, adding that he texted Brown nearly every morning for three years between the hours of 6 and 7 a.m.
It paid off, as the relationship Muss and his staff was able to develop with Brown and his family came through in landing the highly-touted power forward. Brown, a McDonald's All-American, is the highest rated player to ever join the University of Nevada. National publications have him rated as high as 11th (Rivals).
