Stephens continues to impress during exhibition season
Reno, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Following Nevada's 100-83 win over Division-II Stanislaus State on Sunday, Pack Head Coach Eric Musselman went into the post-game press conference fuming. He called his team "severely overrated" following a second-half which saw the Warriors outscore Nevada by 10 while dropping 52 points.
But, despite the frustrations from Coach Muss, there were still some silver linings for the team - chief among them the continued hot shooting of Purdue transfer Kendall Stephens.
Stephens hit nine three-pointers in the win, going 9-for-15 from beyond-the-arc. If that stats had counted, it would have been a new career high for Stephens, while also tying a school record.
Afterwards, he talked about his mindset heading into his first and only season with the Wolf Pack.
