Pack alums Mitchell, Wooten sign with new teams

Two former Nevada football stars have new homes in the NFL & CFL.
Defensive back and kick returner Elijah Mitchell signed with the New Orleans Saints. He last played with the Pack in 2016 and was well known for his blazing speed. Mitchell showcased that in Nevada's 2015 Arizona Bowl win over Colorado State when he returned a kickoff 96 yards for a score against the Rams in a 28-23 win.
Fellow defensive back Khalid Wooter has joined the Toronto Argonauts out of the Canadian Football League.
Khalid was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He also also spent time with a pair of CFL teams, the Montreal Alouettes and the Hamilton Tigercats where he had 26 tackles, two picks and a sack this season. Wooten joins former Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo on the Argonauts.
