Pack alum Bitonio cashes in
RENO, Nev. —
Former Nevada offensive lineman Joel Bitonio got paid on the first day of NFL free agency, to the tune of a five-year $51.2 million deal with the Cleveland Browns.
Bitonio has spent his first two years of his NFL career with the Browns and signed an extension on Thursday with $23.7 million guaranteed.
The 25 year-old has never completed a season in the NFL due to injuries.
The Browns traded for quarterback Brock Osweiler on Thursday, but there are rumors that he could be traded again so it is up in the air for who Bitonio will block for next season.
