Nevada offensive lineman Austin Corbett invited to 2018 NFL Combine
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Nevada offensive lineman Austin Corbett has been invited to the upcoming NFL Combine.
The Reed High School graduate and four-year Nevada player will attend the combine scheduled for February 27 - March 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium, Center Township, Indianapolis.
Offensive lineman are scheduled to have their on-field workout, along with running backs, place kickers, and special teams on Friday, March 2.
The Sparks native participated in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama in late Alabama where he gained recognition from several NFL scouts. Corbett weighed in at 6-foot-4 inches and 310 pounds. He is projected to play interior lineman at the next level, taking reps at guard and center in addition to his natural tackle position which he played for the Wolf Pack.
Corbett is the first Nevada player to be invited to the combine since quarterback Cody Fajardo in 2015.
If Corbett is selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, he will be the first Wolf Pack player drafted since former offensive lineman Joel Bitonio was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2014 draft.
Corbett released the following statement following his invitation:
To think of all the great players who have participated in the combine, just to receive this invite is such an incredible honor and opportunity I look forward to being a part of.
