T-Mobile Arena debuts with The Killers, Wayne Newton
LAS VEGAS (AP) —
The T-Mobile Arena is debuting tonight with a concert by the hometown band The Killers and Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton.
The $375 million, 20,000-seat venue and the adjacent two-acre Toshiba Plaza officially opens Wednesday.
Another grand-opening concert is also scheduled Thursday featuring rapper Nicki Minaj and singer Ariana Grande.
On Monday, MGM Resorts International also welcomed visitors to its leafy outdoor pedestrian area known as the Park.
A 5,300-seat theater designed for headliners to play in residence at the Monte Carlo is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
The entire 22-acre entertainment district is nestled between the company's New York-New York and Monte Carlo hotel-casinos.
