YEEHAW! Wildest, richest rodeo in the west returns to Reno!

The wildest, richest rodeo in the west is returning to the Biggest Little City!

The 2017 Cattle Drive got underway early Monday morning in Doyle, Calif. and spectators will be able to watch the herd hit town on Thursday, June 15 at noon on the corner of Sutro St. and Oddie Blvd. in Sparks.

What better way to kick off the rodeo than with some good ole country music? The kick-off concert featuring country music's LOCASH and headliner Dustin Lynch will take place on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Livestock Events Center.

The rodeo will officially get underway on Thursday, June 15 with the Wrangler Retro Night for Xtreme Bulls. Followed by a fan favorite mutton bustin, and championship drill team competition.

On Friday, June 16, attendees are asked to dress in red, white, and blue in honor of Patriot Night. Fans will be on the edge of their seat for bareback, bull riding, businessmen steer decorating, mutton bustin, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, team roping, tip-down roping, and WPRA women's barrel racing starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday, June 17, is Ram Rodeo Night. Earlier in the day the annual Reno Rodeo Parade will travel down Virginia St. from Arroyo St. to California Ave. starting at 10 a.m. The night will bring PRCA & WPRA timed events, bareback, bull riding, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping. and WPRA women's barrel racing.

Who doesn't want to take dad to the rodeo?! On Sunday, June 18 start the day off with a little bit of Cowboy Church at 9 a.m. enjoy the rest of the day at the rodeo grounds seeking thrill at the carnival, watching bareback, bull riding, mutton bustin, saddle bronc, team ropping, and steer roping.

Can't make it until after the weekend is over? Don't fret! This party is 10 days long!

The Reno Rodeo celebrates a little bit whiskey with Jack Daniels Night on Monday, June 19. The junior roping challenge will get underway at 9 a.m. and fans can enjoy traditional rodeo events on Monday night starting at 7 p.m.

On the night of Tuesday, June 20, event coordinators encourage you to wear purple for advocacy to end domestic violence for Man Up Crusade Night.

Show your Wolf Pack pride on Wednesday, June 21, for Nevada Wolf Pack Night! All rodeo events start at 7 p.m.

Couldn't celebrate Jack Daniels Night? Well how about Coors Night?! Head to the Livestock Events Center on Thursday, June 22.

Real men wear pink, right? What if we told you it was to raise awareness for breast cancer? Get out on Friday, June 23 for Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night.

If you haven't made it out to the rodeo by now, you have ONE more day to do so! The Reno Rodeo will wrap up on Saturday, June 24 with bareback, bull riding, businessman steer decorating, mutton bustin, saddle bronc, streer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and WPRA women's barrel racing.
