Washoe County Sheriff's Office searches for inmate who walked away from Paradise Park
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating an inmate who walked away from work crew on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Deputies say that 21-year-old Irving Hernandez was last seen at 10:45 a.m. in the area of Paradise Park in Reno.
Hernandez was last seen in black and white stripped clothing. He is described as 5-foot-6-inches tall, weighing 125 pounds.
A spokeswoman with the Washoe County School District confirms that nearby elementary school Bernice Matthews was on a precautionary code yellow lockdown, but that has since been lifted.
Anyone with information about Hernandez's whereabouts is asked to contact 911 immediately.
