UNR to award its most degrees at upcoming spring commencement ceremonies

The University of Nevada, Reno will confer its most degrees ever at the upcoming spring commencement ceremonies, according to officials.
There will be 2,808 degrees presented over four ceremonies for students, up from the 2,278 degrees that were awarded in spring last year, spokeswoman Nicole Shearer said in a statement.
Of the degrees being conferred this year, 2,278 are bachelor degrees, 469 are master's and doctoral degrees and 61 are from the School of Medicine.
UNR has seen seen a 50-percent increase in degrees conferred since 2010, according to the school.
Commencement events are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with free parking and shuttles available for those who wish to attend.
