Two fires damaged property in Lemmon Valley

RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Fire officials were busy on Thursday, putting out two back-to-back fires in the same area.

The first fire occurred at an RV home on Overland Road in Lemmon Valley. The mobile home was heavily damaged. The owner's mother-in-law called in the blaze after seeing smoke from the vehicle. No one was in it at the time, and there were no injuries reported.

Fire investigators have determined an electrical problem started the blaze.

Within minutes, fire officials were called to a vacant building on Magnolia Way and Aristocrat Way, which was also in flames. Truckee Fire Protection District Firefighters were able to put the fire out within a few minutes. Officials say they are trying to find the owner of the building, but might end up having to board it up.

No word yet on what might have caused the second blaze.
