The Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center has sold 74,000 acres of land in 15 separate deals, including more than 64,000 acres to a California software company, property owner Lance Gilman announced Friday.

In a statement released through a spokesman, Gilman said the land sold over the week is all the remaining land in the center.

The major purchase was made by software company Blockchains, LLC in a series of eight transactions, all of which closed escrow on Jan. 18. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Blockchains' website says the company will be calling the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center home and will use a newly renovated facility outside the center until a new campus is complete.

Spokesman Rich Crombie said a second developer bought the land around TRI's reclaim water reservoir and intends to develop it into a retail town center.

Another developer purchased about 2,000 acres at Painted Rock, about two miles from TRI, which could be the site of a residential community.

The TRI property totaled about 104,000 acres when purchased in 2001, according to the statement.
