Swedish drone company plans to move some operations to Reno
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
SmartPlanes, a company that develops commercial drones, plans to move some of its operations to Reno, according to an official with the University of Nevada, Reno.
Warren Rapp, business director for the school's autonomous systems innovation center NAASIC announced on Thursday to plan to have as many as 20 people working in Reno within a year.
Drones developed by SmartPlanes perform aerial mapping, surveying, remote sensing and surveillance.
