Staying safe during bear season

In recent years the number of interactions between people and bears has declined.

Nevada Department of Wildlife officials say this is because of the amount of snowfall and rain we've seen during the winter.

However, it's important to still take safety precautions like closing your garage door, clearing your car of fast food bags and getting a bear proof garbage container.
