Sparks police searching for 2 men whose belongings were found at Pyramid Lake

Sparks police are searching for two men whose belongings were found at Pyramid Lake.

On May 8, Quentin Johnson, 52, and Ron Haigwood, 48, were reported missing to the Sparks Police Department.

Police say Haigwood last communicated with his family on April 23 and Johnson with a friend on April 24.

Officials have every reason to believe Haigwood and Johnson were friends and were together.

On May 12, the Pyramid Lake Police Department found Johnson's truck and empty boat trailer at Pyramid Lake.

The Pyramid Lake Police Department has conducting s shoreline search and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue has done a search by helicopter. Neither search produced any result/

A fixed wing aircraft search is being organized to attempt to locate the two men.

Ron Haigwood is described as a bald white male, 5-foot-11 inches tall, approximately 220 pounds with brown eyes with a mustache and goatee. He had a piercing on his left ear with multiple tattoos.

Quentin Johnson is described as a 6-foot-3, 180 pounds with gray hair and green eyes.

Johnson's boat is a 1988 Nordic, 23-foot white and blue in color with Arizona registration 8679AG.

Both the men had cell phones on them.

Investigators are working to see if any information can be used to assist in locating them.
