Sparks police search for three males who attempted to cash fraudulent checks at casino
SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
The Sparks Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying three suspects who tried to cash fraudulent checks at a local casino, according to Sgt. Detective Clinte Bellamy.
According to police, three men entered the Western Village Casino on Oct. 2. Two of the men approached separate tellers while another male waited in line. Both of the suspects who approached the tellers presented payroll checks from the same local business. The tellers quickly realized the checks were fraudulent and refused to cash them.
The white male subject ran from the casino, leaving the check and a fraudulent ID behind. The black male took the check and his ID and left the casino. The Hispanic male subject left without attempting to cash his check. At this time, there is no further suspect information, according to Bellamy.
Secret Witness is offering a reward of $250 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects wanted in connection with this case.
