Father and daughter rescued off jet-ski on Pyramid Lake after overnight search
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
A father and daughter have been found safe after they were reported missing on Sunday afternoon, according to Don Pelt, a spokesperson with the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe.
Pelt says the 40-year-old father and his 11-year-old daughter were reported missing shortly after 5 p.m. on Sept. 3 when they did not return back to their family on shore after a jet-ski ride.
The two were found safely in the area of Needles Rocks, on the north end of the lake, by members of the Washoe County Sheriff's Office's HASTY team shortly after midnight on Monday, Sept. 4.
Both the father and daughter remained on their Sea-Doo and kept their life jackets on, according to Pelt.
