Resurfacing project to start on I-80/USA Parkway ramps
STOREY COUNTY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
A project is set to begin Monday to resurface and re-stripe interchange ramps between Interstate 80 and USA Parkway, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
Overnight single-lane and shoulder closures will be in effect weekdays starting Aug. 13, from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m., through the fall.
Full closures could also take place in future weekends. NDOT says the overnight closures are scheduled to avoid heavy commute hours.
There is only one lane on the eastbound I-80/southbound USA Parkway interchange, and it will be resurfaced to provide two free right-turn lanes.
An additional travel lane will also be added to southbound USA Parkway between I-80 and Electric Avenue.
NDOT has already been extending USA Parkway to U.S. 50 near Silver Springs. The extension is scheduled to open on Monday, Aug. 28.
