Reno Police: Man wanted for questioning in Traner Pool vandalism
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Investigators have identified a man wanted for questioning in the investigation into vandalism at the Traner community pool.
Sgt. John Silver said in a statement Friday that Gonzolo Escobar was identified as the person captured in surveillance wearing a green beanie cap.
Escobar knows he is wanted, according to Silver, and he is still believed to be in the Reno area.
Police also found the driver of the vehicle identified earlier, but they do not believe he is involved in the theft, Silver said.
City of Reno staff estimate the theft and vandalism reported on March 16 caused $35,000 in damage. There's no consensus on when it could reopen, though Lifestyle Homes donated $25,000 toward repairs and "enhancements."
