Reno Main Post Office to provide April 18 postmarks until midnight on Tax Day
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Post offices won't be open late on Tax Day, but you can still get an April 18 postmark all day Tuesday, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service.
The Reno Main Post Office on 2000 Vassar Street will provide the postmark up to midnight. Retail services will not be available, however.
April 18 is the deadline for filing federal income tax returns.
The filing deadline is later than usual this year. The typical filing date of April 15 fell on a Saturday, and Monday, April 17, is recognized as Emancipation Day in Washington D.C.
