Rapper Frank Ocean cited for pot possession in Mono County

MONO COUNTY, Calif. (KRNV & -- Rapper Frank Ocean was cited for marijuana possession in Mono County on Dec. 31, 2012.

Mono County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened around 4:30pm, when a Mono County Deputy Sheriff, with the assistance of a California Highway Patrol Officer, saw a black BMW traveling at a high rate of speed, southbound on US Hwy 395 near Tom's Place.

The car was stopped by the deputy, and as the deputy approached the vehicle, he said he smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

Mono County Sheriff's Office says Christopher Breaux, aka Frank Ocean, age 25, of Beverly Hills, Calif., had a small bag of marijuana on his person. Breaux was cited for possession of marijuana and released.

This incident has been forwarded to the Mono County District Attorney's Office for review.

Ocean's license has been revoked.
