Two suspects arrested in connection to armed home burglary in Sparks
SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with a home burglary reported Monday in Sparks, according to police.
Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Burrows Ct. on the report of a residential burglary that appeared to have occurred earlier in the day.
Home surveillance shows two male suspects burglarizing the home between 12:30 and 12:40 p.m. Audio from the surveillance footage shows the larger male yell, "is there anybody in here?" and he immediately chambers a round into a semi-automatic handgun.
Both suspects were able to get away with several firearms and ammunition.
Detectives with the Regional Crime Suppression Unit investigated and identified Hugh Ohlin, 20, and Aaron Spittel, 23, as suspects in the case.
Authorities found and arrested the pair on Tuesday. They've been booked on suspicion of burglary, grand larceny and two counts of grand larceny of a firearm.
Police say the stolen firearms have been found.
