Outdoor enthusiasts should still wait before jumping into Truckee River
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
Temperatures are rising, and the Truckee River is moving fast and high - a combination that can make the river very appealing.
But river rafting might be off-limits for the time being. James Bell, owner of Sierra Adventures, says he isn't renting tubes just yet.
"I can't even give you a date right now," Bell said. "We're looking later in the summer, maybe June, July. Just gotta watch the flows."
Once rentals start, Bell said the company will have guides on all trips for safety purposes.
And while the waiting might be hard, he says it beats previous years.
