RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Nevada Highway Patrol will be stepping up enforcement efforts on US 50 and Interstate 80 effective today through August 12, 2013.

These efforts will emphasize on stopping and citing motorists who exceed the speed limit. In addition to the speed enforcement campaign, troopers will be looking closely at other traffic violations such as reckless or aggressive driving, driving under the influence, following too closely, talking or texting on a hand-held cell phone and lane change violations.
