Nevada veterans launch Mainstream Marijuana Assocation to promote access
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
A local medical cannabis firm has launched the Mainstream Marijuana Association, a national campaign to discuss medical pot and access for those who have served.
According to the group Mainstream Partners, the campaign also supports the "Yes on Question 2" initiative in Nevada.
Question 2 would regulate marijuana like alcohol by providing safe cannabis to consumers and tax revenue for Nevada, proponents argue.
Boone Cutler, a veteran and co-founder of the association, said the goal is to provide a safe option for veterans managing conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder.
