Nevada man wanted for calling in threats to FBI offices
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KSNV) - Authorities say they have an arrest warrant out for a Nevada man accused of calling in several threats to FBI offices.
The FBI released a statement saying Shawn Frederick Weatherhead is a transient with ties to Eugene, Oregon, and Reno.
Weatherhead has called into an FBI public access line and other FBI offices around the country about 1,000 times since December 2015. The calls came from Oregon and Nevada.
The FBI says he allegedly made threats to kill people in at least three instances in April last year. An arrest warrant was issued in October.
Authorities say Weatherhead has made threats against law enforcement, is known to carry a switchblade and is believed to use illegal drugs.
Weatherhead is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to contact local law enforcement or visit tips.fbi.gov.
