NDOW investigating reports of mountain lion sightings in Reno

The Nevada Department of Wildlife has received reports of mountain lion sightings in the areas of Plumb Lane and S. Virginia Street and Kirman Avenue (SBG)

The Nevada Department of Wildlife is investigating reports of mountain lion sightings in Reno, according to a spokesman, but no animals have been found as of yet.

Aaron Meier told News 4-Fox 11 that NDOW received two reports on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

The reported sightings were in the areas of Plumb Lane and Kirman Avenue, and Plumb and Virginia Street.

A day later, on Wednesday, Aug. 9, NDOW received a reported sighting at North McCarran Boulevard and Sutro Street, near Hug High School.

Personnel with NDOW have checked the areas, Meier said, but they have not found any mountain lions or traces of their presence.
