Man arrested for robbery in Sparks

SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & -- On Jan. 6, 2013 around 7:30am Sparks Police were flagged down by an employee of a restaurant on E. Prater Way. The employee said he'd been robbed in front of the restaurant two hours earlier.

The victim said that as he was arriving at work, two male subjects stood in front of his vehicle and forced him to stop. One of the males then went to the driver's side while the other continued to stand in front of the vehicle. The victim said the male who approached the driver's side then began demanding the victim's wallet and tried to enter the vehicle. The victim managed to roll his window up however the suspect, who was armed with a rock, threw the rock through the window, and reached into the vehicle and took the victim's wallet.

The victim received a minor cut to the left side of his head from the broken glass during the robbery, but did not require medical attention.

Sparks Police have arrested Stuart Slocum, 23, in the robbery. They are still looking for another suspect, who is described as an unknown race male, approximately 18-20 years of age, approximately 5'10'' with curly shoulder length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket.

The Sparks Police Department is requesting that anyone who might have witnessed the robbery or may have seen the suspects in the area to contact the the Detective Section at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
