Hot August Nights is heating up the Biggest Little City
RENO, Nev. (NEWS 4 & FOX 11) —
The Hot Rods are back in the biggest little city for Hot August Nights.
The event kicked off at the Bonanza Casino. Classic cars will be cruising around town all week.
The event attracts people from out of state. Car enthusiasts come ready to show off their slick rides.
"Cars for baby boomers, that was a religion," said Bonanza Casino owner Rust Sheltra.
Danny Figueiredo of Fort Bragg California added, "Once you're in it, you know you can talk to other guys freely about what's going on with your car and what you're doing to yours, and what they're doing to theirs."
The pre-party event broke a record with 438 hot rods on display. Bonanza Casino had to turn cars away because of the limited space.
