Gaming association expects small portion of NCAA betting to happen in Nevada
RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
The American Gaming Association expects only a small portion of betting on the NCAA tournament to take place at Nevada sports books.
The group said in a statement that it anticipates only 3 percent of the $10.4 billion wagered on the tournament to happen in the Silver State.
AGA said most wagering will take place either overseas or through illegal bookmakers.
The average person bets about $30 per bracket in the tournament.
